Split Ends is the story of Bela, a young woman who lives at home with her controlling mother, Ida. On days when Ida must leave for work, Bela stays at home by herself doing chores, or so Ida thinks. When Bela brings someone in from the outside, Ida's dominance and Bela's desire for independence will come to a head.
